Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your Rentfinder.ie Premium Membership within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period begins on the day the contract is concluded and is calculated in accordance with applicable law.
Your statutory consumer rights cannot be waived or restricted by a term of this contract.
Immediate activation of Premium access
Rentfinder.ie is a paid digital service. Premium access begins immediately after your order is completed if you expressly request immediate performance during checkout. Premium access includes use of the Premium database, rental listings, search tools and contact links.
Requesting immediate access does not, by itself, end your 14 day statutory cancellation right.
Payment for access supplied before withdrawal
If you exercise your statutory right to cancel after requesting immediate Premium access, you must pay an amount that is proportionate to the Premium service supplied up to the time you inform us of your decision to cancel.
During the initial 14 day period, this proportionate amount is calculated by reference to the agreed introductory price of €1. Any balance due to you will be refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your cancellation. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise, and no refund fee will be charged.
How to exercise your statutory right to cancel
To exercise your statutory right, you must inform us before the cancellation period expires by a clear statement that you wish to cancel the contract. You may:
1. use the clearly labelled link “Cancel contract here” function on this page; or
2. email info@rentfinder.ie;
You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory. It is sufficient to send your cancellation before the statutory cancellation period expires.
If you use the online cancellation function, you will be asked to confirm your cancellation. We will send you an acknowledgement by email without undue delay, including the content of your request and the date and time it was submitted.
Effect of statutory cancellation
If you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, your Premium Membership will end and Premium access will be disabled.
Subscription cancellation and future renewals
Ordinary subscription cancellation is separate from exercising the statutory right described above. You may cancel future renewals at any time through your account, by emailing info@rentfinder.ie, or by contacting support through the Website.
The trial period costs €1 and lasts for 14 consecutive periods of 24 hours, being 336 hours in total, from the exact time Premium access is activated. For example, if Premium access is activated on 11 February at 15:25, the introductory period ends on 25 February at 15:25.
Unless you cancel before the exact time the introductory period ends, the Membership automatically renews at €39 every 28 days until cancelled.
If you cancel the subscription before the introductory period ends, no €39 renewal charge will be applied. If you cancel after a renewal has taken place, the cancellation will stop future renewals only. It will not refund or reverse a charge for a billing period that has already started, except where your statutory rights require otherwise.
